Responding to False Accusations Against Judaism: Lack of Knowledge (Part 1/7)

Accusation: Hosea 4:6 comes to mind – “my people are destroy from lack of knowledge”. The Jews that knew and understood the prophecies for the Messiah are the ones that brought the message of the Messiah to the Gentiles.

Response: My people were silenced for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being a priest to me; seeing that you have forgotten the Torah of your God, I, too, will forget your children. (Hosea 4:6)

This is an admonishment of the Children of Israel. The people have forgotten and rejected Torah and therefor had been rejected by God until such time they returned to Torah and Him. Those people who began following Jesus and Christianity are part of the rejected people. The very first followers were allegedly Jews but they rejected Torah and instead followed false teachers and false prophets and abandoned Torah.
